Fourth Annual Paso Robles Harvest Marathon is approaching!
It’s that time of the year again: the Paso Robles grape harvest is ramping up, the Indian summer is upon us, and what better time of the year than fall to enjoy a run amongst the vines?
The days are counting for the Fourth Annual Paso Robles Harvest Marathon, slated for Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013 at the scenic Le Vigne Winery (www.levignewinery.com). The marathon/half-marathon/5K is a certified Boston Marathon qualifier sponsored by the Paso Robles Rotary Club.
Organizers expect to build upon the success of last year’s event with even more participants and fitness action amongst the grapes. This year’s event is a consolidation of two past events: Paso Robles Harvest Marathon and Wine Vine Run, both annual events. As in years past, it’s expected that participants may venture from as far north as San Francisco and south as Los Angeles to take part.
Since its inception in 2009, Field has been a proud supporter and organizer of the race, as well as a participant each year. Training throughout the year, he’s proud to be involved in an event that’s become a part of authentic Paso Robles. An avid runner, Field is excited to participate in this year’s event.
So join us this year for the Fourth Annual Harvest Marathon. It truly is a spectacular experience, both from a participant’s standpoint and a spectator’s point of view. The wine vines are transforming into the fall hues, the crisp air cools through the vines, and the event speaks of Paso Robles in full October glory.
